FarmFlo ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our ranch management application.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account
  • Ranch Data: Information about your animals, equipment, tasks, notes, contacts, and other data you enter into the application
  • Profile Information: Optional profile photo and display preferences

Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: IP address, browser type, and user agent
  • Session Data: Authentication tokens and session identifiers
  • Error Data: Technical error information to help us improve the service (see Error Tracking below)

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Authenticate your account and maintain security
  • Send transactional emails (verification, password reset)
  • Respond to your requests and provide customer support
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate FarmFlo:

  • Sentry: Error tracking and performance monitoring. When errors occur, technical information including your user context may be sent to Sentry to help us diagnose and fix issues.
  • Resend: Email delivery for account verification, password resets, and team invitations.
  • Google: Optional sign-in via Google OAuth. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.
  • Cloudflare R2: Secure file storage for uploaded images and documents.
  • Upstash: Rate limiting to protect against abuse.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage for essential functions:

  • Authentication: Session cookies to keep you signed in
  • Preferences: Storing your UI preferences (sidebar state, selected ranch)
  • Offline Support: Local database for offline functionality

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure password hashing
  • Role-based access controls
  • Regular security assessments

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Export: Download your ranch data in a portable format
  • Delete: Delete your account and associated data
  • Correct: Update inaccurate information in your profile

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

  • Right to Know: You can request details about the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect.
  • Right to Delete: You can request deletion of your personal information.
  • Right to Opt-Out: We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Children's Privacy

FarmFlo is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of FarmFlo after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
